Because of CityConnexx, we have developed an ongoing relationship with one of the churches we hosted during CityConnexx 2008. This church came to our inner city ministry to serve during the summer with about 35 volunteers, mostly youth, and helped us by building a sound booth, grounds keeping, painting and community outreaches. Thanks to CityConnexx, we were able to stay in touch with this church group and have an on-going relationship. After the group went back home, I was able to go down and visit some youth, and their parents, who were touched by our ministry. We met on the idea of allowing this church to continue support with some missions work throughout the year. The group agreed to keep us in prayer and come behind us in any way possible. We left the meeting that night with a couple of donations. One in particular covered our Hoops N Raps program for an entire year! Thanks to CityConnexx, we were able to get a huge donation and best yet - prayer support along with continued volunteer support.
