Ministry Partner Prayer & Praise

From time to time, we want you to hear directly from some of our partners. Crossroads in Denver is doing great things. I know because it's why we moved to Colorado in 1996 to restart this urban ministry and church. I continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board and our Executive Director Jim Waters and his staff is doing an amazing job. Here's some prayer and praise reports he shared with us last week.

"I also am requesting that you keep Alicia in your prayers today.  She was not allowed to go home last night because her apartment was next to the one where a carjacking and hostage situation occured yesterday, I guess some of the residents were allowed to go to their apartments around 1 or 2 am today.  She headed home at 7:30am this morning, needless to say she was a little concerned and anxious.

Lastly, you all need to know that God continues to stamp His approval on this, His ministry -- We were able to see that again last Friday - Bonnie was in her office when Mary Jo, the wife of the man, Roger, who shared at the fall banquet came in.  You might recall that Roger shared in devotions in the spring that he had trusted Christ and was so overwhelmed at the love he and Mary Jo had received at Crossroads.  Well, on Friday Mary Jo came to ask Bonnie how she could learn to pray the way Bonnie did.  She said she needed help from God to be the mother she needed to be to their son Rudy and she wanted to pray.  Bonnie said, you really can't pray the way I pray until you have a personal relationship with Jesus like I do. Mary Jo said, I'm Catholic, and Bonnie said, So.  It is not about a church and it is not about denominations or being religious, it is about trusting Jesus to forgive you of your sins and coming into your life, to live and help you.  Mary Jo said, I want that, and Bonnie said OK. She then had the privilege of leading Mary Jo into repentance and faith!  And that, my friends is what Crossroads is all about!  Roger and Mary Jo came to church on Sunday and said they enjoyed it and needed to come to church.  Alicia said she saw Mary Jo yesterday and she was just different; happy and similing and at peace on the inside.  That will carry the staff through this week and I trust it will warm your heart as well!  God is so awesome!  To Him be the glory!"
